Robert Stannard has signed for Bahrain Victorious with speedy impact after accepting a backdated four-year suspension for an anti-doping rule violation, it was introduced this week.

The Australian will trip the Tour of Britain for his new staff, after he was penalised by the UCI’s Anti-Doping Tribunal to be used of a prohibited substance or a prohibited methodology, on account of unexplained abnormalities in his Organic Passport in 2018 and 2019. In addition to the four-year suspension, he was fined 70% of his common annual wage within the years 2018 and 2019.
