MANDAUE CITY, Philippines —Over 100 law enforcement officials have been deployed by the Mandaue Metropolis Police Workplace (MCPO) to safe the Fee on Elections in Mandaue Metropolis (Comelec-Mandaue) and to make sure the security of those that want to file their Certificates of Candidacy (COC).
MCPO Spokesperson, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mercy Villaro, mentioned that apart from the 45 law enforcement officials stationed within the neighborhood of the Comelec workplace, further officers have been deployed on the streets for patrols, conducting checkpoints, and a few are stationed on the headquarters as backup in case of emergencies.
Villaro said that though Mandaue Metropolis stays peaceable, they’re at the moment on heightened alert.
