Thompson is having fun with a career-best Grand Slam run of his personal this fortnight on the All England Membership, advancing to the doubles quarterfinals alongside compatriot Max Purcell.
As he chases his first main doubles title, Thompson is proudly watching on as his Davis Cup team-mate challenges for the Wimbledon singles title.
“He’s been enjoying high quality tennis and he’s so powerful to beat,” he mentioned of De Minaur.
“You must beat him, as a result of he’s not going to offer you something. He’s so fast across the courtroom, his ball is hard to assault, so I’m not shocked in any respect. I really assume he can maintain going from strength-to-strength.”
