Every week a panel of media members, horseplayers, and Breeders’ Cup World Championships officers launch a ballot tabulating their votes rating the prime contenders for the 2024 Longines Breeders’ Cup Basic. The outcomes are a weekly ranking of the highest 10 horses in rivalry and are decided by every voter rating their prime 10 horses with factors assigned on a descending 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 foundation.
Week Three of the 2024 Breeders’ Cup Basic rankings is led by prime 3-year-old Dornoch, the winner of the Belmont Stakes and NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes who’s scheduled to make his subsequent begin within the DraftKings Travers Stakes, Aug. 24 at Saratoga Race Course.
