Mandaue Metropolis lifts complete e-bike ban

MANDAUE CITY, Philippines – The Mandaue Metropolis Authorities has canceled the implementation of a complete ban on electrical bikes (e-bikes).

Metropolis Councilor Jimmy Lumapas, chairman of the Committee on Transportation, introduced on Dec. 9 that the ban on e-bikes applied by the Site visitors Enforcement Company of Mandaue (TEAM) had been lifted.

Lumapas defined that the choice was made in consideration of e-bike drivers and passengers who depend on these automobiles. As an alternative of implementing a complete ban, he said that using e-bikes can be regulated.
