ILOILO CITY – The Division of Public Works and Highways in Western Visayas (DPWH-6) is ready to introduce a brief two-way visitors scheme on the embattled Ungka Flyover as a part of efforts to fulfill the deadline for its full operational use by Dec. 25.
DPWH-6 Director Sanny Boy Oropel introduced that the visitors shift will coincide with the second section of restore works on the faulty flyover.
Though no particular date has been confirmed, the correct lane towards Pavia will quickly be closed, with visitors rerouted to the left aspect.

“Subsequent week, visitors shall be focused on the left lane of the Ungka Flyover, coming from Iloilo Metropolis to Pavia,” Oropel confirmed, emphasizing that changes are crucial to hurry up the flyover’s repairs.

At the moment, motorists use one lane in every route. However as soon as the brand new scheme is in impact, each lanes on the left aspect will accommodate two-way visitors, leaving the correct lane closed for repairs.
